The hot-swap replacement PCBs (such as the popular BitBang Gaming Shuriken JLF PCB) are designed to integrate seamlessly with OTTO DIY V2 and V5 mod kits for Sanwa JLF joysticks.
They replace the stock Sanwa TP-MA assembly where the microswitches are permanently soldered. Here are their core technical features:

Solderless Hot-Swap Modularity
  • Individual Switch Replacement: Unlike the stock Sanwa PCB which requires replacing the whole board or desoldering components, these PCBs allow you to plug and unplug individual microswitches
  • Zero Soldering Required: Switches slide directly into custom metal leaf terminals or push-in pin headers.

Broad Microswitch Compatibility
These alternative PCBs feature multiple mounting holes or dual-position layouts to accommodate different switch form factors:
  • "O" Position (Omron): Tailored for Omron V-Series microswitches (such as D3V or standard V-series with .187" / 4.8mm terminals).
  • "H" Position (Honeywell): Specifically aligned for Honeywell microswitches.
  • Universal Fitting: Most models also support Cherry, Gersung, or E-Switch microswitches. This gives you total freedom to customize the tension, clickiness, and travel distance of your stick.

Form Factor and Durability
  • Drop-in Design: The layout matches the exact mounting footprints of standard Sanwa JLF joysticks. While sometimes slightly wider than the stock board, the thickness is identical to ensure it fits perfectly under the restrictor gate.

Synergy with OTTO DIY Kits (V2 & V5)
  • Mechanical Compatibility: The Teflon/Nylon bodies of the OTTO DIY V2 (Korean style with a silicone grommet) and V5 (optimized Japanese style) wrap perfectly around these hot-swap PCBs.
  • Handling Oversized Actuators: OTTO DIY kits include larger 12mm, 12.5mm, and 13mm actuators. The replacement PCB holds the microswitches securely in place, enduring the faster, sharper actuation force caused by these larger parts without wobbling.

Standard Wiring Connection
  • Plug and Play: They come equipped with a standard 5-pin JST-NH male header just like the original Sanwa board. This allows you to plug your fightstick’s existing 5-pin female wiring harness straight into the board with no modifications required.
