This is a lightweight aluminium shaft for JLX / JLF levers.

 

The length above the bearing is the same as the manufacturer's original part, 35mm,

and it is designed to be used with a shaft cover.

 

Weight reduction is achived through material replacement,

shape modification, and a sight shortening of the threaded section.

  

The weight is 8g (original is approximately 27g), roughly 1/3 the weight.

 

While not as significant as the lever top replacement due to its proximity to the support point,

the weight reduction reduces recoil input and slightly speeds up neutral return.

 

Combining it with a lightweight lever top provides an effect similar to a high-rate spring replacement,

but without the added stiffness.

However, in terms of cost-effectiveness, a spring replacement is overwhelmingly superior.

 

Please try using them according to your preference.
